Introduction
Cadfil Filament winding software is a technical product. It has many different features and options and is highly configurable to suite specific winding machines and customer requirements. There is usually some initial demands for technical support for learning, setting up and configuration with new customers. For this reason all new software sales and software upgrades come with 12 months maintenance included.
The Cadfil Maintenance package entitles you to this full customer support (usually by email or web meeting) so we can resolve issues and provide guidance with machine setup and product development. The maintenance period is normally 12 month though 2 or 3 years options are available, the longer periods save on Purchase administration. On site support at your facility can be often be arranged but this is subject to additional costs to be agreed on a case by case basis. The maintenance package also gives access to use the latest version of Cadfil Software software and also older versions. Licence to use the Cadfil version available at the end of the maintenance period still continues should maintenance not be renewed. Maintenance fees are normally due in advance of the commencement of any service.
When this maintenance agreement expires, the first option is to continue to use the software without maintenance. There is no cost for this, and you can continue to use Cadfil without technical support, and at the software version which was the most recent version when the agreement expired. The second option is to renew with a new maintenance agreement of either 12 or 24 months, which will allow you to access full technical support as well as receiving all new software updates for the duration. If you would like to update your software or need technical support now is the time to consider buying a support package!
Continuous Software Updates
Cadfil is not a static product, we makes several software updates per year and these go onto our Downloads Page. These updates include entirely new options, additional features and additional post processor configuration possibilities. From time to time Microsoft have been known to create compatibility problems which affect older Cadfil versions. When these have occurred we normally issue a Cadfil fix quite quickly. Often these type of problems only show up when the user gets a new computer! Cadfil started supporting MS-DOS back in 1986 and now supports Windows 11, Windows XP and older are no longer supported in any form. At the time of last update of this page the current Cadfil version is 9.90 at is Version 9 subversion 90, the version history can be seen on the at the What's New page.
We have launched an occasional newsletter with the latest Cadfil news, releases and information. If you would like to receive this please use the subscribe form on the Contacts page. The contact us page should be used to get the latest support and updates costs.
