Cadfil-Vessel Design is a feature introduced in 2026. It is an integrated workflow for the design and manufacture of multi-layer COPVs, allowing different iterations and changes of design to be made quickly and easily when dealing with vessels with many layers.
The Cadfil Vessel Design is an add-on software package. It can be used with Cadfil Lite+ or with Cadfil Axsym. Alternatively there is a bundle, Cadfil Axsym+, which includes Cadfil Axsym, Cadfil Vessel Design and the FEA Interfaces package, giving you all the tools you need for effective design of COPVs

- Creates FEA models compatible with commercial FEA software solutions.
- Creates highly customisable machine output for CNC controllers and robots.
- Automatic path calculation based on end opening and wind angle
- Automatic joining path calculation
- Profile thickness updating between layers
- Add, delete or Insert layers easily, with the whole design updating automatically
- CAD import/export, parametric or custom domes (with Cadfil Axsym)
